First night is in the books… finally. After too much snow and the temps being too freak’n cold, we got the first night in.

Tom played early because guess what? More snow is coming. Despite a broken tailbone from falling he pulled out a solid 43.
Carl and Chad played next and Carl as you would guess was pretty solid with 5 pars, unfortunately those 5 pars bookended a couple doubles and a couple bogeys to have a 42. Chad has a tale of solid iron play once he got off the tee. He powered through it and ended up with a 42 as well.
Finally the evening ended with Craig, Gary, JT and Pete. Craig played very solid and is the clubhouse leader with a very solid 39. Gary was searching for his swing but still had a respectable 46. Pete played a great round but unfortunately he blew up on the 9th hole with a 9 for a 47. The current leader for sandbagging is JT. WTF man? Dude shows up with just his driver. He played with some borrowed clubs and managed to squeak out a quad, 3 triples and a couple doubles. He did get a bird on hole 12 and pared 16 for a 53. Possibly the sandbagger of the year.
We will finish up week 1 on Wednesday. As a reminder handicaps and net scores will be calculated after 3 rounds are completed.
